The Swedish national team defender Gustaf Lagerbielke had a fine evening when he was back at Celtic Park in Glasgow. It became a shutout and a 2–0 win for his Braga away against Celtic in the Europa League.

It was emotional to be back, especially to see the supporters, but it was nice to go home with a win, says Lagerbielke to TNT Sports, according to Uefa's website.

Ricardo Horta and Gabri Martínez scored the goals when Braga took their second straight win in the EL series. Celtic stands on one point after two matches.

Lagerbielke left Elfsborg for the Scottish top club two years ago, but it only became around ten matches in Celtic's season 2023–2024. Last season he was loaned out to Dutch Twente before he this summer signed for Portuguese Braga.

International teammate Benjamin Nygren started for Celtic, but was substituted after 67 minutes.

The duo is selected for the upcoming World Championship qualification matches where Sweden will meet Switzerland and Kosovo at home.
