In the first half of 2026, Swedish Customs seized more than 900 kilograms more narcotics than in the first half of 2025. In addition, almost 2.7 million narcotic tablets were seized, according to recent statistics from the authority.
In early January, just over three tonnes of cocaine were seized at a fruit wholesale company in Helsingborg. It is the largest cocaine seizure to date in Sweden.
Of the almost 2.7 million tablets seized, more than 1.6 million were tramadol tablets. The rest consisted mainly of sedatives such as benzodiazepines.
Seizures of heroin, amphetamine and cannabis decreased compared with the same period last year.
