Netflix releases its viewer statistics once every half year and the latest report from the world's largest streaming service is topped by talked-about successes like ”Adolescence”, ”Squid game” and ”Zero day”.
Netflix is available all over the world and releases hundreds of TV series, documentaries and films in a long range of languages every year. Three of the series on the latest half year's top list that have received an international multi-million audience come from Sweden.
”The Åre Murders”, based on Viveca Sten's books, comes in 24th place. The series with Carla Sehn in the lead role has a total of 32.6 million views of the five episodes.
Three places further down the top list is ”Genombrottet” (29.3 million views), the thriller series about the double murder in Linköping that was solved with the help of DNA technology. In 41st place is ”Glaskupan” (20.4 million), the series created by, among others, Camilla Läckberg.
Among the films, ”Back in action” with Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx tops, which has collected 165 million views. The most watched Swedish film on Netflix during the last half year was the romantic comedy ”Kärlek fårever”, with Matilda Källström and Charlie Gustafsson – 15.6 million views.
