"We are seeing a recovery in all sectors of the construction industry, which is good news for the growth of all of Sweden," says Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd, CEO of the Swedish Construction Companies Association, in a press release.
In a new forecast, the Swedish Construction Companies Association expects investments in construction projects to increase by four percent per year during 2026 and 2027. As a result, employment is expected to increase by almost 10,000 jobs between 2025 and 2027.
The upturn is driven primarily by investments in infrastructure, rising investment in premises and increased housing construction.
