The Beach Pro Tour, a sub-tour of the Elite16 world tour, was decided on Sunday in Malmö, where Swedish pair Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Alfred Mjörnheim reached the final.
There, the Dutch pair Sam van der Loo and Mees Sengers proved too strong. They took the first set 21-17, but Hölting Nilsson/Mjörnheim came back and levelled the match by winning the second set 26-24.
In the third and decisive set, it became dramatic, but van der Loo/Sengers pulled ahead to win 15-13 and the match 2-1 in sets.
We had fun, and in addition to a silver medal, it is also a positive experience, says Hölting Nilsson.
The reason Alfred Mjörnheim got the chance is that Jacob Hölting Nilsson's regular partner Elmer Andersson is injured.
The interaction still worked well, but sometimes it goes worse, like now in the final. It's up and down, says Mjörnheim.
