Pär Gunnar Thelander, born in 1936, was a painter, sculptor and graphic artist who made his mark in the 1960s. Humor and playfulness characterise his artistry: potatoes, penguins, pork sausages and the occasional cube appear in his works, as do motifs from classical art.
PG Thelander studied at Konstfack and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts and is also internationally recognised, with work represented in London, Paris, Mexico City and New York, among others.
PG Thelander turned 90.
