Swedish Air Force Museum Closes for Two Days After More Than 70 Fall Ill at Conferences

More than 70 people have developed stomach illnesses during conferences at the Swedish Air Force Museum in Linköping, Corren reports. The municipality has now decided to close the museum for two days.

It is still unclear what caused the outbreak linked to two separate conferences at the museum last week.

"We cannot currently point to a specific dish or food. We are also looking broadly in case a virus has entered the business," says Maria Pihlajärvi of Linköping Municipality's (municipal government) food unit to Corren.

Some staff at the Air Force Museum's restaurant, which operates separately but works closely with the museum, are also reported to have fallen ill after working near the conference guests.

Following a decision by the municipality, the museum was closed on Monday and will remain closed on Tuesday. The Air Force Museum regrets the incident, and the restaurant has carried out extra cleaning.
