It has been two new Swedish golds at the World Games in China. Melina Andersson took her second gold in canoeing, in long distance, and Astrid Schölin won in jujutsu.

Melina Andersson followed up the victory in shorttrack with a crush in the long distance of 21 kilometers in Chendu. She was a whole 1.43,64 ahead of the second-placed Vanda Kiszli, Hungary.

Andersson's victory tactic was to be the fastest in the lifts of the canoe.

Astrid Schölin won in the jujutsu discipline Newaza. The final against the Canadian Felicia Marceau became even and went to extra time after 0–0 at full time.

Once there, the Swede took two points and won the match.

"She is enormously skilled and thorough in her techniques and does not take chances when she meets such tough opponents, but instead controls the match as she wants it", says the national team captain Tobias Back in a press release.

World Games is a championship for sports that are not included in the Olympic Games program.
