The Swedish Agency for Cultural Analysis, in collaboration with the SOM Institute at the University of Gothenburg, has collected data from a random sample of the population - this year 3,750 people.
Compared with 2024, only a small number of cultural activities have increased or decreased in 2025. Needlework and crafts have increased the most, with the share rising by ten percentage points. Watching films and playing an instrument have also increased slightly: by two-three percentage points each.
The largest decrease is in drawing and painting, which has fallen by ten percentage points. Diary and poetry writing have also decreased, by four percentage points.
