Two Swedes, currently 18 and 27 years old, are sentenced to prison for attempting to kill one or more people with firearms or hand grenades in Brønshøj outside Copenhagen.

Frederiksberg District Court found them guilty of attempted murder a week ago. Now the court announces that the 18-year-old will be sentenced to eight years in prison and the 27-year-old to eleven years in prison.

In August last year, they were hired to murder. It failed, partly due to a technical fault with the weapon when the then 16-year-old boy tried to shoot three people.

The older one was arrested shortly afterwards, but the 16-year-old managed to escape home to Sweden, where he was later arrested.

According to the court, four more men were involved in the crime. They helped with accommodation and transportation, among other things. All of them denied attempted murder during the trial.
