Swedes in the Premier League: Isak scores, Kulusevski returns

Liverpool's Alexander Isak scored against Brighton on 25 October, while Tottenham's Dejan Kulusevski recently returned from a long injury absence. Arsenal's Viktor Gyökeres scored his first goal of the season in the League Cup.

The Swedish players in the Premier League have had a tough time with injuries lately and also form. The one who has stood out is Alexander Isak who has been netting regularly in recent matches. Kulusevski's return to the pitch is long-awaited and Tottenham fans are cheering when he gets playing time, which has been sparse since his comeback.

Isak scored Liverpool's second goal at home against Brighton midway through the first half, Sydsvenskan reports.
Kulusevski played for Tottenham for the first time since May 2025 after a long injury absence, according to Sydsvenskan.
Isak also came on as a substitute as Liverpool recovered from 2-0 down to beat Villarreal 4-3 at home in the Champions League.

Viktor Gyökeres continues to struggle for goals in premier league. After two consecutive starts, he was benched for Arsenal's Champions League match at Bayern Munich, but came on and set up the 2-2 equaliser. Yasin Ayari has attracted interest from many clubs lately, but he too is going through a poor spell after a strong start. But in this weekend's match against Manchester City, Ayari scored after just 11 minutes and Brighton won 1-0 away.

Gyökeres scored his first goal of the season for Arsenal against fourth-tier Fleetwood Town in the League Cup on 27 October, TT reported. Arsenal went out on penalties.
