A survey conducted by Danmarks Radio shows that more than every second gang member in Denmark is Swedish.

In the last two years, 47 people, 28 of whom are Swedes, have been ordered to commit serious crimes in Denmark.

The vast majority are boys and men under 20 – some as young as 12 – who have come to be called child soldiers in both Sweden and Denmark.

In some cases, it also involves young girls. In June 2024, two Swedish girls, who were 14 and 15 years old at the time, went to Lind outside Herning in Jutland with the task of shooting a man. The man was not at home and according to Danmarks Radio, it is not certain that they would have succeeded in carrying out the task even if he had been at home – the cartridges in the gun were facing the wrong direction.

Several of the Swedes have already been sentenced to harsh sentences in Denmark.
