With six bogeys and a double bogey in the third round, the chances for a top placement are blown away even for Maja Stark, who won the US Open as recently as a couple of weeks ago.
The 25-year-old star climbed in the second round after a nightmare-like start in the first, and now stands at a total of +6 after the third round, which has not yet been completed.
Yesterday, six out of a total of seven starting Swedish women were eliminated, as they did not meet the qualifying limit of +7.
"Just unbelievably ready to go home. Yesterday I was sad – today I'm completely empty. Golf is such a cruel sport", writes Linn Grant, who stood at +8 after the second round, in a post on Instagram.
"When it's going well, you're unstoppable", Grant continues.
"But when golf turns its back on you, the smallest mistake has the greatest earthquake effects and creates ripples on the water", she continues.
