"I am not an angel, but I am not a terrorist either," the older one said when he testified in court.
At the time of the crime in October 2024, they were 16 and 19 years old. Today they have turned 18 and 21, respectively.
Two hand grenades were thrown and hit a residential building near the embassy.
“Completely insane”
"Two hand grenades exploded on a terrace belonging to a family with children, and the family was at home. That alone makes this completely insane," said prosecutor Søren Harbo.
During the trial, the prosecutor presented evidence with the aim of linking the act to the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
The older defendant has said that only after the attack did he learn the mission he had undertaken was aimed at the Israeli embassy. After he told the person who had assigned him that he did not want to be involved in an attack on the embassy, they agreed not to aim at the embassy but still to be close enough to “send a message,” he has stated.
The younger defendant has admitted to throwing the hand grenades, but denied that he knew the act was directed at the Israeli embassy.
He is also accused of having fired at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm with a modified tear-gas gun just a day earlier, hitting a window.
Murder defendants in Sweden
Both of the terror defendants have connections to the criminal Foxtrot network. The 18-year-old has said that he has worked for Foxtrot since he was twelve years old. While in Danish custody, he has been charged in Sweden with murder in Hallstahammar in September 2024.
At the same time, the 21-year-old has been charged with murder in Rosengård in Malmö in August 2024.

Facts: The attacks on Israeli embassies
TT
Two young Swedes, who are currently 18 and 21 years old, are facing charges of terrorism in Denmark for throwing two hand grenades toward the Israeli embassy, near Copenhagen, in the fall of 2024.
The hand grenades hit a nearby house. No one was injured, but the building was damaged.
They are linked to two separate murder investigations in Sweden, both of which are connected to the criminal network Foxtrot.
The 18-year-old is suspected of murder in Hallstahammar in September 2024. The 21-year-old is charged with murder in Malmö in August 2024.
The younger of the two Swedes is also charged with shooting at a window of the Israeli embassy in Stockholm the day before the attack in Copenhagen.
According to information in SVT's "Uppdrag granskning", the attack on Israel's embassies was carried out by the Foxtrot network on behalf of Iran.
