After losing to Italy 0-4 in Borås, Sweden's under-21 men's national team can no longer qualify for the European Championship in Albania and Serbia next year.
With two qualifying matches left, it is clear that either Poland or Italy will take the automatic spot and that the other team will go to the playoff. Sweden is eleven points behind group runner-up Italy.
The last time Sweden played in the U21 European Championship was in 2017. In 2015 they won the championship.
