Sweden's Top 5 Books Chosen by Critics and Scholars

On commission from Expressen Kultur 101 of Sweden's most renowned critics, writers, and literary scholars have chosen their five favorite works. The books are written in Swedish or one of the minority languages.

First place is occupied by Lars Norén's "A Dramatist's Diary" from 2008, followed by PO Enquist's "Another Life" (2008) and Steve Sem-Sandberg's "The Poor in Łódź" (2009).

Fourth place is held by Sara Stridsberg's "Dream Faculty" (2006), and fifth place by Alejandro Leiva Wenger's collection of short stories "For Our Honor".
