"Access to dental care must be improved. In northern Sweden, the shortage is particularly clear, and therefore we want to try new establishments or targeted efforts where the needs are greatest," says group leader Lena Hallengren at a press conference on Sunday.

The Social Democrats have previously presented a comprehensive dental care reform in which no adult will pay more than 10 percent of the cost of dental treatment. They also want to reintroduce free dental care for 19- to 23-year-olds.

Corrected: In a previous version there was an incorrect sentence about the cost of the reform. It has now been removed.
