However, it was slightly less than the forecast of SEK 34.6 billion, according to the Swedish National Debt Office.
The primary balance - the difference between the government’s primary expenditure and income - was SEK 12.7 billion higher than forecast, according to the authority.
"Tax revenues were approximately SEK 5 billion higher than estimated. Expenditures were also lower for several authorities," the Swedish National Debt Office (Sweden’s debt management agency) writes.
Central government debt amounted to SEK 1,279 billion at the end of September.
