Second-hand sales in Sweden turned over 1.9 billion kronor in August, according to figures from Swedish Trade. This is a new record for a single month.

"After a relatively weak sale during the spring, it is also pleasing to see a stronger summer sale", says Maria Mikkonen, chief economist at Swedish Trade in a press release.

According to Swedish Trade, 3 out of 10 Swedes state that they have shopped second-hand in the last month.
