Veteran Calle Halfvarsson's ski World Championship in Trondheim is over. Halfvarsson was selected to compete in Wednesday's sprint relay, but was forced to withdraw in the morning due to cold symptoms. Now it is clear that he is heading home.

After Thursday's relay, Saturday's 50km race is left on the program, but Halfvarsson will miss both.

Instead, Truls Gisselman gets the chance in the relay team together with William Poromaa, Edvin Anger, and Jens Burman. The relay covers 4x7.5 kilometers.

The big favorite is Norway, which can take its 13th consecutive World Championship gold in the men's relay. The home nation is lining up with Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget, Erik Valnes, and Harald Østberg Amundsen.

Corrected version: In an earlier broadcast, it was incorrectly stated which gold in order Norway can take.
