It is the electricity news site Montel that is drawing attention to the fact that production from Swedish nuclear power is at historically low levels.
Both reactors at Ringhals are undergoing extended annual maintenance. So is one of the reactors at Forsmark. This week, Oskarshamn, the largest reactor in terms of capacity, is also shut down for a planned shutdown test.
As a result, electricity prices are high across the country on Thursday, although far from record levels.
Extra-windy weather has helped this week, with strong wind power production. On Friday, prices will fall to a relatively low average of 23 and 45 öre/kWh over the day, with the highest prices in southern Sweden.
