Sweden's new warning system, SE-Alert, should quickly reach many people in a certain area in the event of a serious incident, without requiring registration or an app.
The first test of the alarm will take place on September 7 at 3:00 PM, in conjunction with testing of the Hesa Fredrik outdoor alarm.
Anyone with an up-to-date smartphone, whose phone is turned on and connected to the mobile network, should receive the test, which means you will get a text notification with a loud sound signal and vibration even if your phone is on silent mode.
The country's new warning alarm, which went into operation this summer, will be developed and tested during the fall and tested nationally in December.
