Sweden's museums attracted 7.3 million visitors during the summer of 2025 – an increase of 2 percent compared to last year.

This is shown by the Swedish Museums Association's compilation of the member museums' visitor figures for June–August.

The most visited museum in the summer was the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, which attracted 615,806 visitors during the period. Skansen in Stockholm and Malmö Museum drew 583,956 and 419,883 visitors, respectively.

Among the greater public successes are exhibitions about Britta Marakatt-Labba, Anonymouse and the 75th anniversary of the subway, but also exhibitions about coffee culture and rock carvings in Östergötland.

A total of 155 museum organizations participated in the survey.
