“We said yesterday that we would try to come out of here with a good feeling and have a good final match. I think we succeeded,” skipper Oskar Eriksson told SVT after the bronze medal match.
The match was a nail-biter. Before the final round, when the Swedish men had the last stone, they led by one point.
Team Eriksson kept their nerves in the final round and scored one point. The final score in Ostrava, Czech Republic, was 6–4.
Sweden lost 5–7 to Scotland in Saturday’s semi-final.
Scotland beat Italy in the final.
