Sweden’s Johanna Bundsen named world’s best women’s handball goalkeeper

Johanna Bundsen is the world's best handball goalkeeper, according to coaches, media and fans from around the world.

Johanna Bundsen has been voted the world's best women's goalkeeper in a vote on Upskill Handball.

Since 2021, the site has handed out awards in various categories, with coaches, media and supporters invited to vote. This year, the 35-year-old Swede is being recognised.

“It's incredibly cool to receive this award,” Bundsen tells Radiosporten.

Bundsen has had a turbulent year. Last autumn, her German club Ludwigsburg went bankrupt. She then moved to French side Metz, where she won the Champions League. She currently plays for Danish top team Odense.
