It was during the opening minutes that several Swedish national team players, including captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf and Lucas Bergvall, complained that the balls were not sufficiently inflated. Something that attracted attention.
"It's completely incomprehensible, we're playing a competitive match in our national arena and sending out balls like that. It's not the biggest thing in the world, but it's clearly embarrassing," said Viaplay expert Erik Niva.
After the match, the blue and yellow players were asked questions about the match balls.
"Every ball that came in was not pumped up. I felt it right away so we changed them," says attacking star Alexander Isak.
Victor Nilsson Lindelöf was surprised by the situation:
It was hard to pass the ball. It was frustrating. I haven't experienced that before, but they tried to ignore it.
Sweden won the match 2–1 after goals by Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres.
