"It’s not that far away, I think. Yesterday (Friday), I was there and trained fully, doing all the drills," he tells Aftonbladet.
Now the goal is to return for the Gothenburg derby against IFK Gothenburg in two weeks.
"I hope so, of course. It would be extra fun because it’s such a special match," Lundgren says.
Lundgren made his national team debut last year and played a major part in Viktor Gyökeres’ decisive goal in the World Cup play-off against Poland. However, Lundgren did not play at the World Cup, having torn his Achilles tendon during the warm-up before the Allsvenskan (Sweden’s top football league) season opener this spring.
