For the second year in a row, Sweden has taken silver in the World Championship in cheerleading. "I'm walking on air right now", says the women's national team coach Ida Holmström.

Last year, Sweden took its first medal in the World Championship in cheerleading since 2018 – a silver. It was the same value this time in this year's championship in Orlando, Florida.

The Swedish women made their best performance so far when the final in the premier class was decided and scored 86.36 points – a bit behind the superior USA, but enough to relegate Finland to the bronze medal position.

"They have trained incredibly hard for a whole year to deliver like this in the final. I'm walking on air right now", says the women's national team coach Ida Holmström in a press release.

The Swedish women's national team consists of members from the Gothenburg Cheer One association in Gothenburg.
