The Government and The Sweden Democrats propose in the upcoming budget that the vehicle tax on certain trailers, including caravans, will be removed from February 1, 2026. The proposal means that tax revenues will decrease by 190 million kronor next year.
"For simplification reasons, it is proposed that it should apply to all trailers with a taxable weight of up to 3 tons. This will also reduce the administrative costs associated with tax collection", they write in a press release.
