"A classic Nordic meeting with good energy. Norway is ready for the World Cup and, when we meet in June, we hope that we are too, and that the match will be an important part of the preparation for a championship," said national team manager Stefan Pettersson in a press release.
Norway national team captain Ståle Solbakken:
"There's always something special about a neighboring country derby - there's good pressure both on the pitch and in the stands. A match like this will be a perfect warm-up for the World Cup for us."
During the national team meeting in June, another international match is planned - regardless of whether Sweden reaches the World Cup this summer or not.
The national team will play the playoff semi-final against Ukraine on March 26 and a possible final against Poland or Albania on March 31.
