Today's visits to child health centres will be expanded. This is the framework of the new national health programme that the National Board of Health and Welfare is presenting.

Among other things, children and young people will be offered six additional visits within healthcare, student health and dental care.

The programme runs from before the child is born until the age of 20. The core consists of health visits with examinations, health interviews and parenting support.

Today, contact after the age of five is more event-driven, while health inequalities are growing. Now there are more opportunities to catch and discover problems, says Jakob Forssmed.
