The Living History Forum is tasked with deepening knowledge about why attitudes towards LGBTQI people have deteriorated among school students.

In the latest survey, the proportion of people who have a very negative attitude towards LGBTQI people increased significantly, from 3 to 15 percent, which is a break from the trend. Previously, tolerance has increased.

This development is completely unacceptable, says Minister for Equality Nina Larsson (L).

She says that more knowledge is needed for the measures to be accurate.

There may be a basis in social media algorithms where it is very easy for extremist content to spread quickly.

She also mentions a widespread culture of honour and rising violent right-wing extremism.

The assignment will be reported in 2029.
