We cannot make the same mistake we made with social media, where we just let this go and then try to catch up with developments, says Minister for Social Affairs Jakob Forssmed (KD).
According to the Internet Foundation, more than half of children aged 8-19 use various AI tools, and usage is highest in middle and high school.
Among children of middle school age, many use AI as a friend, according to Forssmed.
“To many children, AI appears as something that is always responding, never busy,” he says.
There is a risk that AI will compete with emotional ties to humans.
The Public Health Agency will present recommendations on June 1 next year.
