Sweden Deploys Air Defense Cannons for NATO Operation in Latvia

Tobias Christensson, battalion commander at the South Scania Regiment P7, notes that the drone alarms in recent months mean that the threat from the air has been updated. He points out, however, that such a threat in itself is not new.

This capability has been needed before, he says to Sveriges Radio.

It is the first time since the 1960s that anti-aircraft guns have been used in a sharp operation, according to Ekot.
