Sweden trailed several times - and the USA caught up several times. When the tenth round was over, the score was 6–6 between the teams.

Sweden ultimately managed to win the dramatic semi-final 8–6 via an extra round.

We were very focused. We had the "hammer" (the last stone in the round) when we entered the game and got an early lead. They came back, but we had the baton the whole time, Edin told SVT Sport.

Team Niklas Edin will now face Canada, who won against Scotland in the other semi-final, for the gold. Canada recently won Olympic gold but is represented by a different team at the World Cup.

It looked like both teams in the second semi-final made some mistakes, so I think we have a very good chance against this Canadian team, said Edin.

Team Niklas Edin has won seven World Cup gold medals so far. In this year's group stage, the team won ten of twelve matches.

This year's Curling World Cup is being played in Utah in the USA and the final match will be played on Easter Eve at 10 p.m. local time in Sweden.
