Sweden is moving embassy staff from Iran to Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) announced on X, referring to the deteriorating security situation.
The relocation is temporary and the embassy continues to operate from Baku, according to the Foreign Minister.
"The security situation in Tehran remains very uncertain. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised against all travel to Iran since 2022 and urges Swedes to leave the country," she said.
