The coalition for "electromagnetic warfare" was created when the so-called Ramstein group of countries that support Ukraine militarily met in Brussels at the beginning of April.

Now more countries are joining – including Sweden, which also gets a leading role together with Germany.

–It means that we can both work on jointly procuring different types of electronic warfare capabilities and also develop electronic warfare capabilities. They are also important resources in the work that is ongoing on means and countermeasures in the drone area, says Minister of Defence Pål Jonson (The Moderate Party) after the signing in Brussels on Wednesday.

How much money it involves, Jonson cannot yet say. The work is also still under construction. The focus is on helping Ukraine.

–This is primarily about supporting the Ukrainian electronic warfare capability, which is very important for Ukraine to have a good capability to meet Russian drones, says the Minister of Defence.
