Olle Wallin lost what could have been the decisive match in Sweden's Davis Cup meeting with Tunisia. Then a fifth and completely decisive match awaited Leo Borg – which the 22-year-old won in two straight sets. Borg thus became the hero in the Davis Cup 50 years after dad Björn Borg.

Leo Borg started weakly, but could then turn around and win the first set with 6–4. The second set was even, but in the end Borg was sharper and won the set with 6–3 and with 2–0 in sets total.

Short of words but I'm really glad about all the support from the team and this fantastic audience, this wouldn't have been possible without you, says Borg after the victory.

The hero role for Leo Borg comes 50 years after Björn Borg took Sweden to their first Davis Cup victory, 1975.

It feels absolutely fantastic, actually incredible. These are the kind of moments you've dreamed of doing your whole life, says Leo Borg.

After Friday's matches, it was 1–1 between Sweden and Tunisia in the Davis Cup.

Leo Borg then lost to Moez Echargui, and debutant Olle Wallin made a huge turnaround against Aziz Ouakaa.

Sweden started Saturday with a victory in the doubles, and the score was 2–1 after three played matches.

André Göransson and Davis Cup debutant Erik Grevelius were the ones who did the job against Moez Echargui and Aziz Ouakaa in the doubles match. The Swedes won with 6–4 in the first set, and took home the second set on tiebreak – 7–5 (7–3).

Absolutely fantastic really. Thank you so much to the audience, you really helped, you were wonderful, says Göransson in the post-match interview.

In the fourth match, which would have decided the outcome with a Swedish victory, Olle Wallin lost to Moez Echargui. The Tunisian won in two straight sets (7–5, 6–3).

The victory over Tunisia means that Sweden will continue to play in the top division until the spring of 2026 and will get a spot in next year's Davis Cup qualifying round.

We'll see what Gothenburg has to offer, but a good dinner and a lot of laughter, says Borg about how the Swedish team will celebrate the victory.

The win in the international match came without the Ymer brothers. Mikael Ymer had to stand over due to injury, and Elias Ymer chose to decline.
