Sweden has suffered its first loss since the start of the Olympics. It came in a curling match against Estonia in the mixed doubles group stage.

After two straight victories, the sibling duo Isabella and Rasmus Wranå have now lost a match. The duo were defeated by Estonia, 5–7.

"We made a few mistakes at the wrong times, when we were trying to put pressure. It's just those last few centimeters, so it's still very close," Rasmus Wranå told SVT.

After the second round, Estonia took a 3-1 lead. After the Swedes equalized in the third round, they then failed to score in three straight rounds.

There were two Swedish points in round seven, but it wasn't enough.

Play continues on Friday with matches against Great Britain and Norway.

Of the ten competing teams, the top four advance to the semifinals after all teams have played all others.
