Slovenia won in straight sets - 25-16, 25-21, 25-12.
On Saturday, Sweden pushed the fourth-seeded Czech Republic at the World Cup to a fifth set. Less than 24 hours later, against another major nation, Slovenia, currently ranked fourth in the world, proved to be too tough a task for the Swedes.
They are one level higher, Axel Enlund told SVT.
On Tuesday, Sweden faces Greece and then finishes the group stage against Slovakia. Sweden should win both matches to advance to the playoffs.
"These are must-win matches. Now we just have to recharge and be our best selves when we face them. We beat Greece in July," Enlund said.
