"I really pushed myself, so I threw up a little after the race. That's what happens when I really push myself," says the 21-year-old Elfsborg swimmer, who broke his personal record by one second with a flying start.

The Swedish team finished in 7:10.02.

A break of just over four seconds on the eight-year-old record, but at the same time missing the final by 49 hundredths.

"It's very nice to have a Swedish record, but of course it's disappointing to finish ninth," he says.

Robin Hanson, Ludvig Bartolek and Victor Johansson were the others in the Swedish team.
