Belgium has requested support from other countries through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (ERCC) to combat the extensive forest fire.
The fire, which started in eastern Belgium on Friday, has destroyed around 3,000 hectares, according to Belgian news agency Belga.
According to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, Sweden was able to send a team with two aircraft to Belgium within a few hours, and it is now on site taking part in the firefighting effort.
Sweden also sent planes to France at the end of July to assist in firefighting in the Bordeaux area.
