Norway won at Ullevål 3-1 and the Norwegian newspaper columnists chose to criticize Sweden rather than praise their own national football team ahead of the World Cup.

Dagbladet has the headline: "It's never been worse. Sweden is no benchmark for the World Cup."

Columnist Esten O Sæther writes:

"The Swedish downhill slide does not end. A week after being beaten by little brother Norway in the Ice Hockey World Championship, they were outplayed and humiliated in football."

"Against a blue-and-yellow, but above all gray, Swedish team, it produced a goal-scoring bonanza that the Ullevål crowd has never seen before in these neighborly meetings."

Sæther writes that the first half hour "was more reminiscent of an elite league team against a local Division 4 club than an international match."

Nettavisen writes that "Sweden got away cheaply and was embarrassingly weak."

Columnist Ernst A Lersveen praises Norway: "Where will this end? What a June evening at Ullevål. A football party before the departure for the World Cup."

He continued: "The opponent was Sweden, who are also going to the World Cup. Sorry Sweden, but this did not resemble World Cup standards. Embarrassingly weak."

"We are better at everything you have been best at: golf, tennis, ice hockey and now this confirmation of the most important thing: football."
