Intangible cultural heritage is traditions and knowledge that are passed on between people. On September 15, the Institute for Language and Folklore (Isof) will open for new proposals for Sweden's national list of intangible cultural heritage.
"If more practitioners and communities submit proposals for the list, we will have a greater opportunity to show the diversity and breadth of cultural heritage that is practised in Sweden," says Charlotte Hyltén-Cavallius, research archivist at Isof, in a press release.
The list is part of Sweden's work with UNESCO's convention for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage. The call for applications runs until October 31 this year.
