It was during Sunday's World Cup show jumping that it became clear that Sweden's team in the eventing competition has qualified for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. This after finishing seventh in the team competition, where the six best teams qualified for the Olympics, but since the bronze-winning team from the USA, as the host nation, is directly qualified, seventh place was enough.
But it was close. Frida Andersén and the horse Box Leo, who rode last, had a tough day. They were knocked down four times and received 16 penalty points.
But despite the tough finish, Sweden's combined points were enough for an Olympic berth.
That was terrible, Andersén tells SVT.
Sweden's World Cup team consisted of Frida Andersén, Louise Romeike, Amanda Staam and Sofia Sjöborg.
