The voluntary organization Försvarets Fältartister has for the first time in almost 25 years started up the training for the position of field artist, writes SVT's "Cultural News".
To be a field artist means a war placement for the cultural workers who have undergone the training, and in the event of heightened alertness, they will be responsible for personnel care and support the total defense.
Försvarets Fältartister has over 500 members. To become a field artist, you need to be a professional musician and work with genres such as pop and rock, comedian or sound and light technicians.
The field artists are active both in Sweden and abroad.
