This is the first time funds have been directed to culture in this way, says Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand (M).

After a dam burst, archaeological finds have been exposed on the island.

The funds are being given to the UN agency UNESCO, which, according to the government, has registered more than 500 sites in Ukraine that were damaged in Russia's war of aggression.

Russia is attacking Ukraine as a civilization, says Minister of Development Cooperation Benjamin Dousa (M).

Liljestrand was one of the culture ministers from various countries who participated in a conference in Uzhhorod last year.
