Sweden has placed an order for propulsion charges for the Archer artillery system worth almost a billion kronor.

Ammunition is purchased from the South Korean company Hanwha Aerospace, writes the Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) in a press release.

The order contributes, according to FMV, to securing the Swedish Armed Forces' access to charges in the short term.

”It is important with rapid deliveries of materiel so Sweden's security is strengthened”, writes Minister of Defence Pål Jonson (M) on X.

The propelling charges will be delivered during 2026.
