With a full medal push, former junior world champion Filip Gravenfors went all out in the superfinal of the World Championship in mogul skiing. But with an overrotation after the first jump, Gravenfors fell on his back, where all hopes of a medal vanished.
After a stable first final round, Gravenfors finished in fourth place at the World Championship competitions in Swiss Engadin. In the final, he aimed higher but after the mistake, he had to settle for seventh place.
Japanese Ikuma Horishima took the World Championship gold ahead of Canadian Mikaël Kingsbury.
Other Swedes, Robin Olgård and Rasmus Stegfeldt, as well as Moa Gustafson in the women's class, did not advance from the first final round.
For the second year in a row, Frenchwoman Perrine Lafont took the World Championship gold in the women's class.
