"It's of course very difficult right now. Getting to play the European Championship on home soil was a dream, and I've really been looking forward to experiencing this together with the team," says 22-year-old Hindgren in a press release.

Sweden will play its first match against Montenegro at Scandinavium on Friday evening. The group stage will then continue against Slovakia, Italy, Croatia and France.
